Hi Chloe,
I have to do my personal project this year and i want to do something really special. I recently read a book about a girl who learned to cope with her disabilities and it really made me think about how people overcome their disabilities.. and i want to see how I could cope with a wheelchair, using it all the time. Is that a good idea, or how could i change it so that i could do it?

hi chloe,
I am a very fickle person and i always have many options. And now for my personal project i dont really know what to pick. However I enjoy dancing and I love learning about medical stuff. SO I had two ideas.
FIrstly i was thinking to make a CD which will conatain around three dances that i will coreograph, where each dance will be from a different culture and i was thinkning that i could also add some tutorials within the CD that coud teach people the dances that i will coreograph. I was thinking of connecting this idea to Human Ingenuity.
The second idea that i thought of is creating awareness to the community of ladies in Kenya about Osteoporosis and OSteoathritis in women, since it is commonly occuring to them at somewhat young ages. For this I was planning to write up a medical journal, and during the process to create awareness i was thinking of doing charity walks to create awareness for the pooe ladies who get these proeblems but are not being taken care of. I was thinking of relating this idea to community and service.
So please tell me whether these ideas are suitable for a personal project and which one do you think is better. And if you have better advice could you please share it with me. Thank you

I was thinking for my personal project that I could recreate a famous crime scene with fake evidence and everything and try and go through the steps the a criminal investigater would or did use to solve the crime. I could then do something about learning about criminal investigaters or the mental state of criminals. Does this sound like a good idea?

San,

One of my friends did a very similar project. She decided to make a park bench out of bottle caps. Across the bench were the words "recycling can do beautiful things" and the bench is actually in a park near our old high school now. It's pretty rad. Her goal was to create a work of art out of recyclables and to get a message out about the great things that recycling can do. So maybe if you can use this recyclable art project to get a message out there to the greater community, it could have more of a lasting impact than simply creating a piece of art from these materials. However, if you're looking to just make the art and don't really care so much about the message, that's cool too. A work of art is a fine personal project. You just have to remember that you need to connect it back to the AOI's and explain what the art meant to you (like why did you choose to make it out of recyclable material) and the process that you went through in creating your art.

Gabriela,

You sound like you are on the right track to making an amazing personal project! So, just because you don't implement your plan for your party before the projects due date, doesn't mean that you don't have a final product. I mean, look at all of the things that you have already. Explain to the panel of judges why you chose certain things, how these pertain to your culture, how other quinceaneras are, and how you hope yours will compare. Really hit home on the cultural aspect of this project because IB loves that. And tell them exactly how you plan to use all of the planning that you've done to create an awesome final product.

I hope this helps,

Hi Chloe

I am planning to do my ib project over making a quinceanera, because i am currently in the process of making my own. So i have actual contracts of choreography and my dress and I've also attended quinceanera expos so i have many brochures of basically everything that is needed. My 15 is only 3 months away now so i have basically all the information about making a 15 that's possible except, my only problem is that I am just not certain on how i can do " The Final Product " if the project is due on February 16, 2012 and my 15 will be on May 12, 2012. What can i do for the final project since the due date for the project is sooner than my actual 15. What are some examples of how i can turn in my final project given this situation. Please help me.

Thank you in Advance C:
