MYP/IB Personal Project - Process Journal - Part 3
Use your process journal to keep track of all the steps that you complete during your project.
You should record all thoughts, ideas, plans, reflections and other research in the Process Journal. You need to write at least one thing per day (you can even write - “I didn’t work on the project today”). The journal is a roadmap of your personal project process. The process journal will be used to write your Personal Statement later on, so be sure to keep it organized!
Your journal is for you and your supervisor! The evaluators will not take much note of what was written; however, they will look at it … so do NOT procrastinate. Since this is only for you and your supervisor, neatness isn’t required. However, being organized starts with neatness, so be sloppy at your own risk.
Your journal can be in many forms: a notebook, folder or computer file (which you will eventually have to print). Be sure to date all of your entries. If you do not date your entries, then you will have a difficult time writing your Personal Statement.
Do what is comfortable for you. Both your grade and future as an MYP Nerd depend on it.

this might sound kinda silly but i’m curious what form of process journal did u use? notebook/folder/computer file thing. For the past 4 months I kept a notebook but I find it really hard to update it whenever I did something, because I’m more of a typer than a writer.
Rin,
It’s not a silly question. I find myself to be more of a typer than a write too, but I did my process journal in a notebook because I was worried about printing my journal off at a later time. However, what ever works best for you to insure that you are saying everything you need to. I feel like a notebook is more organic than typing and will provide for more natural responses; however, if you feel like the notebook isn’t sufficient, use other means to complete the task.
I hope this helps.
