$10,000 College Scholarship - Girls Going Places® Entrepreneurship Award
Guardian Life offers an annual scholarship award program for girls called The Girls Going Places® Entrepreneurship Award Program.
Guardian’s annual contest is designed to reward the enterprising spirits of girls ages 12 to 18. Guardian awards prizes to 15 girls who demonstrate budding entrepreneurship; are taking the first steps toward financial independence; and make a difference in their schools and communities. Prizes totaling $30,000 are granted to three top winners and 12 finalists each year, to further their entrepreneurial pursuits or save for college.
How to enter? Using the entry form, submit your own personal statement of no more than 250 words AND a 750-word recommendation letter from an adult endorsing you as an accomplished young female entrepreneur.
Scholarship Entry Rules:
No purchase necessary. Entries must be postmarked by February 27, 2009. To be eligible,nominee must be a female between the ages of 12 and 18 as of 12/31/2008 and a legal US resident. Nominators must be legal US residents and may not nominate themselves. Employees of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and independent sales agents are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited.
